Dr. Janice Vaughn-Knox is a board-certified anesthesiologist, cannabinoid medicine specialist and clinical endocannabinologist who believes in the power of self-healing.
Dr. Janice is a wife, mother, physician, best-selling author and cannabis expert. Dr. Janice grew up the 4th of 15 children in Richmond, California. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of California Berkeley and medical school at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Janice uses her expertise, experience and knowledge of cannabis therapeutics to help treat and relieve symptoms of chronic disease that traditional medicine has failed to conquer. Dr. Janice is certified by the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine as a Cannabinoid Medicine Specialist. Dr. Janice is a much sought-after speaker for cannabis therapeutics nationally and abroad.
Dr. Janice firmly believes that cannabinoid care starts with the understanding of the intricate and complex physiology of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Knowledge is rapidly changing as more research uncovers the depth of the ECS and greater endocannabinoidome (eCBome). Taking care of patients relies upon providers staying current of the science as the mysteries of the eCBome are revealed. Along with her teammates at the American Cannabinoid Clinics, Dr. Knox believes in an integrative approach to delivering medical cannabis care that is rooted in evidence-based lifestyle and functional medicine.
Dr. Janice is co-founder and CEO of the American Cannabinoid Clinics and Pivital Edu, and is the founding vice-chair of the Association for Cannabis Health Equity and Medicine (ACHEM), serves the board of the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine (AACM), and is the Oregon representative to Doctors for Cannabis Regulation (DFCR) in addition to advisory board positions to PRA Global Inc. and the Initiative, Inc.
